Financial Sector and Artificial Intelligence: How Companies in the Sector Work with Technology

Last Wednesday (4), N5, a software company, launched an innovative set of Artificial Intelligence tools designed specifically for the financial sector. Comprising Alfred, Pep, and Singular, this technology represents what the company calls “Autonomous Financial AI.”

Since its founding in 2017, the startup has invested $50 million to develop these solutions, which promise to revolutionize the market. Julian Colombo, CEO and founder of N5, highlights that the new AIs’ differential is their exclusive focus on banks, insurers, and other financial institutions.

The tools are designed to operate with sensitive customer data without communicating with other technologies or the internet, minimizing error risks and ensuring greater accuracy in responses.

Around 90% of the responses are generated by our own model. And when we need to activate other platforms, we never transact customer data,” says Colombo.

N5’s Artificial Intelligence can be integrated with any core system, CRM (customer relationship management), or BPM (business process management). According to the company, these tools can increase commercial productivity by up to nine times and reduce operational costs by up to 94%.

Currently, four major financial institutions are already using the technology, three of them operating in Brazil. With the launch of the new tools, N5 expects to triple its revenue in 2024.

In the first half of 2024, the company has already surpassed its total revenue from the previous year, registering $21 million. The startup serves 70 clients in 18 markets, including Latin American countries such as Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, and Chile. Among its clients are prominent names like Itaú, Santander, C6 Bank, Mastercard, and BCP (from Peru).

Inspired by Batman’s butler, Alfred is a virtual assistant that performs administrative tasks for financial sector professionals. It is trained to solve specific demands of each institution up to 100 times faster than traditional methods.

Alfred turns everyone into a ‘superhero’,” explains Colombo

Named in honor of the football coach Pep Guardiola, Pep acts as a mentor, evaluating employees’ performance and helping them improve.

“Pep learns from the top 1% of a company and helps others achieve that performance,” says Colombo.

Combining the capabilities of Alfred and Pep, Singular is an Artificial Intelligence specialized in selling products, collecting debts, and advising clients on investments and financial planning.

Unlike a reactive chatbot, Singular acts proactively, enabling executives to manage a large number of clients with human-like characteristics.

The company believes that its solutions have the potential to redefine the financial sector, bringing greater efficiency and productivity.
